Removed from the ship's superstructure deck, these bolts were installed during the ship's modernization, which began in 1925. The deck planks were originally fastened to the deck of Battleship TEXAS with bolts, washers, and nuts that ran through the underlying steel deck in most areas.
Each Deck Bolt & Stand includes a remaining bolt, nut, and washer removed from the underside of the superstructure deck, placed on a display stand made from the 1990 deck, lasered with a diagram from the General Arrangement of Deck Planking approved for TEXAS on May 3, 1912. An official Certificate of Authenticity will be included with each piece.
Each bolt, nut, and washer is unique and may have blemishes, rust, or missing paint. Each display stand may have cracks, blemishes, and age-related discoloration.
