Normandy 11.3 Sticker

On June 15th, 1944, Battleship TEXAS moved into position to provide support fire to the 1st US Army troops in Carentan, France. Since the target was more than 20,000 yards away, BB-35 put on a 2-degree list by flooding the starboard torpedo blisters, and Texas ended up firing 11.3 miles to complete the mission.
